The Clarence Brown Theatre (CBT) is a proscenium theatre located in the center of the University of Tennessee’s Knoxville campus. Built in 1970, the CBT was designed as both a large-scale movie house and a theatre—a fitting homage to its principle contributor, the distinguished film director and UT alumnus, Clarence Brown.
