2018-TN Percussive Arts Society Statewide Day of Percussion
The annual Tennessee PAS Chapter Day of Percussion brings in world-renowned artists, clinicians, and performing ensembles for a full-day of percussion events. Attendance is typically 300+, which includes attendees, performance competition participants, All-Collegiate Percussion Ensemble, and other high school and university ensembles from across the state. Band directors, percussionists (beginner/amateur to professional), and anyone else who loves music are all encouraged to spend the day with us!
Guest artists and clinicians include: Matthew Bimstein, Keith Brown, Chad Crummel, Gwen Dease, Abby Fisher, Andy Salmon, Ed Soph, and Matt Weyer
Other highlights include: performances by the All-State High School Percussion Ensemble and the All-State Collegiate Percussion Ensemble, and Solo Competitions (HS Keyboard, HS Concert Snare Drum, HS Marching Snare Drum, Collegiate Keyboard, Collegiate Multi-Percussion, and Collegiate Mock Audition). The FUNdamentals sessions will offer great insight to younger percussionists and even band directors seeking more percussion education!
Tickets are $10 for PAS members and $20 for non-PAS members. Now is a great time to become a member of the Percussive Arts Society! Please visit http://www.pas.org/ for more information. Door prizes will also be awarded!
