Join the University of Tennessee’s Center for Global Engagement and the National Committee on U.S. China Relations for the 2021 China Town Hall. The annual event connects Americans with leading China experts to discuss the impacts of China’s global rise on China-U.S. relations and analyze its local and national effects in the United States.
7 p.m. -- China Town Hall Webcast with Fareed Zakaria
The virtual event begins at 7 p.m. with the National Committee on U.S. China Relations’ nationally-broadcast webinar featuring CNN host Fareed Zakaria. Zakaria writes a weekly column for The Washington Post and has authored several books, including the 2020 bestseller “Ten Lessons for a Post-Pandemic World.”
8 p.m. -- Panel Discussion at UT
Beginning at 8 p.m., the Director of Asian Studies Program at UT Shellen Wu will moderate a one-hour live panel discussion to further discuss U.S.-China relations with a particularly local lens. The panelists include:

The event is hosted by the Office of Asian Engagement, Asian Studies Program, and the History Department at the University of Tennessee, in partnership with the TN-China Network and the National Committee on U.S. China Relations.
