3MT® Final Competition 2019
After 32 participants in four semi-finals across campus, twelve finalists have been selected to participate in the 2019 3MT® Final Competition, one of the major events for Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week (GPSAW). If you're not familiar with 3MT® (or Three Minute Thesis), it's a competition where graduate and professional students are given three minutes and a single, static slide to talk about their thesis or dissertation work to a panel of judges. These judges (most of whom have no training in the presenter's field), then select whose presentations were best in terms of comprehension and engagement.
The semi-finals, as always, were amazing displays of the high-quality of work being done by our UT graduate and professional students. The twelve who will be presenting on April 3 are:
- Shade Adigun (College of Nursing)
- Caroline Billings (College of Veterinary Medicine)
- Jamarcus Bradford (College of Law)
- Arthur Jay Castaneda (College of Arts and Sciences)
- Nikhil Deb (College of Arts and Sciences)
- Riley Krotz (Haslam College of Business)
- Amanda Lee (Herbert College of Agriculture)
- Benjamin Meadows (Haslam College of Business)
- Andrew Putt (College of Arts and Sciences)
- John Reynolds (Tickle College of Engineering)
- Scott Satinover (Bredesen Center)
- Rachael Wolters (College of Veterinary Medicine)
Come out to the Student Union Ballroom on April 3 to support these participants, learn something new, and celebrate graduate and professional education at UT!
