4th Annual Pumpkin Drop
The Society of Physics Students hosts an Annual Pumpkin Drop. We start with a student organization fair. Then we have a free costume contest, for anyone who would like to participate, that includes prizes for various categories. We also bring out fascinating science demonstrations including some of our more rarely appearing demos such as the bed of nails and cornstarch run. The final event is the actual dropping of pumpkins, big and small, that have been frozen in Liquid Nitrogen so that they shatter upon impact. This event will be free and open to both the university and public. We invite student organizations to contact us at email@example.com if they would like to table the student org fair.
The drop will be from a lift in front of McClung Tower. The Student Organization Fair will be throughout McClung Plaza.
