In celebration of Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week 2018, Teaching & Learning Innovation is hosting "Teaching Philosophy and Diversity Statements." In this workshop, participants will consider two important documents related to teaching and learning: the teaching philosophy and diversity statements. These documents reflect your particular beliefs and values regarding teaching and inclusion. Additionally, they indicate how you operationalize your beliefs through your practices in the classroom. 

In this workshop, we will: 

• discuss why institutions seriously consider these documents in hiring decisions
• review the key elements of each of these statements
• critique examples from across disciplines
