A Vintage UT Treat

Pick up your own piece of UT history at the library on UT's 225th birthday! Stop by the first floor of Hodges Library to fill a reusable birthday bag with goodies including a limited-release button featuring historic UT photographs from our University Archives.

Then explore our new exhibit, Lighting the Way: 225 Years of Volunteers to discover artifacts and images that illuminate the traditions and spirit of our Volunteer history. Look for clues to answer trivia questions on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook (@UTKLibraries). Two lucky winners from each platform will win a one-of-a-kind, full-size poster featuring the same historic UT photos highlighted on the buttons.

And don't forget to add to our list of 225 things to do in the UT Libraries! Grab a card, jot down the best thing to do at Hodges, Pendergrass, or DeVine, and drop it in our Big Orange birthday box. We'll be adding to the list all year, and the 225 most outstanding ideas (as judged by our Dean of Libraries) will be revealed on the UT Libraries' birthday in April.

We’re right across from the Big Orange Birthday Party at HSS, so add us to your birthday route for some historically good fun!
