The Academy for Global Engagement (AGE) will be a yearlong faculty development program consisting of ten sessions over the course of an academic year designed to further expose faculty to international research funding opportunities in addition to matchmaking with partners abroad. In today’s competitive research landscape, faculty must navigate increasingly complex funding ecosystems. Through AGE, faculty will become strategic in securing support from a wide array of partners – including industry, foundations, foreign governments, and philanthropic actors - all of whom seek clear, compelling narratives about research impact, partnerships, and innovation. AGE will take advantage of relationships already established by UT with Cormack Consultancy Group, a UK-based consultancy organization with over 26 years of international partnerships experience and navigating the European funding landscape, in addition to the DC-based National Council of University Research Administrators to further this pursuit and maximize impact for faculty.
