Today, architecture extends beyond formal and material practice, engaging with shifting temporalities and entangled relations at the planetary scale. This lecture presents visions and experiments of designing active atmospheres that mobilize relations, materialize imaginaries, and adapt digital frameworks. Organized around a series of “action scripts”, Zhang will present recent work on architecture, culture, technology, and environment in search for the tangible and immediate ways to design and to build agency.
