On President's Day, February 20, the Baker Center will host a live podcast recording of American POTUS. The podcast focuses on the office of the presidency, presidential history, and contemporary national politics. The episode being recorded will feature former U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) and Jeffrey Engle, Director of the Center for Presidential History at SMU. The topic will be The New Cold War.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend. The podcast will begin recording at noon. Lunch will be served, so plan to be there at 11:45am to get settled before the recording (12-1pm). Due to the nature of the event, please be sure you can stay the whole time the podcast is being recorded (11:45am-1pm) to minimize audio disruptions.

After the recording, students can plan to stay for a discussion with the podcast hosts and guests (1-2). Please sign up if you would like to participate but have a class starting at 1:50. We can work to accommodate your early departure.

Students who RSVP by Feb 15 at 8am will be invited to submit questions (more details/parameters to be provided). These student-submitted questions will be the only source of audience questions, and you have a great chance of having your question featured in the podcast.

RSVP using this link by 5pm on Thursday, Feb 16.
