DESCRIPTION:This talk is based on an ongoing grant-funded research project 
 with graduate students that engages with the concept "Pedagogy of Refusal\
 ," which is based in queer and anti-colonial theories. The discussion will
  explore how this pedagogical framework might be applied to education as a
  field\, as well as to classrooms\, research studies\, and beyond to suppo
 rt LGBTQ+ people\, with concrete examples including failures\, successes\,
  and lessons learned to support others' efforts.
