About this Event
915 Volunteer Boulevard, Knoxville, TN 37996
For faculty who want to take their projects off campus, it can be a challenge to find community partners who are ready, willing, and able to join the venture or to even know who to ask. Misty Anderson (English), Hana Sherman (Clarence Brown Theatre), and Pat Rutenberg (History) will discuss their experiences working with community partners and Javiette Samuel, AVC and Director of Community Engagement and Outreach, will share the resources available to faculty who want to make those connections.
About the Series:
Big Hairy Grants is a workshop series for arts and humanities faculty who find grants to be somewhere on the spectrum from bewildering to terrifying, or possibly even completely irrelevant. Through informal presentations and open conversations, faculty will learn to navigate the often intimidating, sometimes bureaucratic, but ultimately rewarding world of grants.
