Boren Awards help fund language-focused study abroad for undergraduates and graduate students. You can advance your skills or learn a new language; you can also pursue research while abroad. Boren will fund programming (up to $25,000) around the globe outside of Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. Interest in working for the US federal government is essential (recipients must work for the federal government for at least 12 months after graduation; long-term interest in government service preferred). The Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships is happy to answer questions and assist both undergrads and grad students with their applications. We also have an information session on October 16 from 2-3PM in SU 362C (led by a Boren Awards representative).
