This session will discuss elements of mutually beneficial partnerships, social capital, and highlight several of UTK’s partners.  Examples of current university-community partnerships and faculty projects will be shared, with opportunities to hear from UTK faculty and community partners. The facilitators for this session will be Dr. Jon Shefner, Director of Community-University Research Collaboration Initiative (CURCI), Dr. Lisa East, Managing Director of CURCI, Tanika Harper, Founder of Shora Foundation and East TN entrepreneur.
