About this Event
Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 7pm Eastern Time on Zoom
Swallowtails, anglewings, painted ladies, red admirals, yellow sulphurs or monarchs, whichever is your favorite, all butterflies need host plants to thrive. You can help butterflies by planting what the females are seeking. Our local butterflies hunt for nectar from a wide array of flowering plants but the females of each species need a specific host plant to lay their eggs on.
Join Michelle Campanis, University of Tennessee Arboretum education coordinator, and Stephen Lyn Bales, naturalist and author via Zoom for “Butterflies and their Host Plants.” It’s the October Nature Supper Club presentation hosted by the UT Arboretum Society. The October presentation only will move from the first Thursday to the second Thursday. This class is free but you must register to receive the Zoom link and the recording. Closed captions are available.
Please contact Michelle at mcampani@utk.edu for any questions or registration issues.
