About this Event

From rural communities to big cities, politics affects everything we do as social workers and citizens in Tennessee. Our Code of Ethics calls us to engage in political action, but it can feel overwhelming. To highlight the role of social workers in politics, the UT College of Social Work is partnering with the University of Connecticut to bring the Campaign School for Social Workers to Tennessee. This training is for anyone who wants to understand how they can make a difference in local and state policy as a leader, volunteer, advocate and/or candidate. You will learn from political social workers and national experts why social workers belong in politics, how you can support a more inclusive and responsive democracy, and why your values are your superpower in these challenging and divisive times. Join us to amplify your impact and create positive change.
