Title: "Introduction to Ultra-Lightweight, Foamed Glass Aggregate"

Abstract
This presentation will provide an overview on the manufacturing and application of ultra-lightweight foamed glass aggregates (UL-FGA). Included in the presentation will be a discussion of the technical properties and relevant features and benefits of UL-FGA, as well as actual case histories on private and industrial projects.

Bio
Douglas N. Brown, PE, is Technical Sales Manager at AeroAggregates of North America, LLC. Prior to joining AeroAggregates, Brown served as the National Accounts Manager and Airport Sector Manager for Tensar International Corporation, responsible for managing all aspects of Tensar’s service to its key contractor accounts, as well as for supporting field sales in their airport-related efforts. He served in numerous previous roles during his 26-year career at Tensar, including as Roadway Technical Manager and as Director - Grade Separation Solutions, and has 30 years of experience in the Geotechnical Engineering and geosynthetic sectors. Brown also was a founding partner of Synergy Earth Systems, Inc., a design/construct contractor focused on combining geotechnical techniques and geosynthetic products to address challenges related to very soft soils. He has a BS in Civil Engineering (1988) and MS in Geotechnical Engineering (1993), both from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
