Title: Neyland Stadium - 100 Years Reimagined

Abstract

Over the last 100 years, Neyland stadium has undergone significant changes and growth. We will review the construction history of the stadium, recent renovations, and future plans along with the complications encountered during design and construction.

Biography

Kurt Boyd is a Principal with Ross Bryan Associates Inc. in Nashville, TN.  He has worked with Ross Bryan Associates since graduating from the University of Tennessee in 1993.  He has worked on numerous UT projects including Stokely Family Residence Hall, Fred Brown Residence Hall, LaPorte Stadium Track & Field, UT Haslam Field Expansion, Ayres Hall Renovations, Howard H. Baker, Jr. Center for Public Policy, Haslam Business Building, Tickle Engineering Building, Joint Institute for Advanced Materials, Thompson-Boling Arena, and Student Union. Additional high-profile projects include the Washington DC Convention Center, Nashville Music City Center, Knoxville Convention Center, and the Baltimore Orioles Camden Yards.
