I liked the concept of the flagship address and was excited about hearing where we have been this year and where we are going moving forward. For those who have been attending the Chancellor updates, it was more repetitive than I was anticipating. The recorded presentation in conjunction with live Q&A is an effective format. When the moderator is choosing questions in the future, I would hope that we could focus more on campus-level focused questions more appropriate for such an address and less on the day-to-day functioning.

Had a sound problem and I almost logged off but as usual I found the content and delivery to be right on target.

Great content and delivery. Now more than ever, we need reassurances from our leaders that we're doing the right things and headed in the right direction. Chancellor Plowman conveyed strength, leadership, and compassion. Well done.

It was all right. I liked the point about rankings - if we do good job, rankings will follow. Yes!
I did not like the response to freedom of speech part. I agree that hate speech is a problem - but who is going to define which speech is hate and which is not? Who is that moral judge? Response to killing of a teacher in France - was he wrong showing cartoons of the prophet? Was that hate speech? University must give examples of what is and what is not hate speech!
