The Economy in a Maturing Pandemic with Bill Fox

Join William “Bill” Fox, director of the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research as he discusses the economy and the impact of COVID-19. This webinar will include how the pandemic has affected the U.S. and Tennessee economies, the different ways that industries and demographics have been impacted by COVID-19, and the extent and success of the Federal economic stimulus. In addition, Dr. Fox will address how the economy will be different at the pandemic's end, as well as the underlying economic trends going on before, during, and after the pandemic.

Dr. Fox has held visiting appointments as Professor at the University of Hawaii, scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, and Distinguished Fulbright Chair at the University of Frankfurt, Germany. In addition, he has served as a consultant in more than 40 countries and 15 U.S. states on a wide range of public policy issues. He is a member of the American Economics Association and past president and recipient of the Steven D. Gold Award from the National Tax Association.
