DEI Awareness for the Workforce: Applying DEI in Research

A conversation that is beginning to emerge is the value of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in research. Infusing the perspective of DEI into research can be intentional to advance the knowledge concerning issues facing diverse populations. It could also create paradigms to design unique programs to support historically underrepresented researchers that pursue studies that align with the needs or challenges of diverse populations. This panel discussion will allow you to hear from experts in their respective fields, and how DEI has influenced or changed how they conduct research.

This session is part of the DEI Awareness for the Workforce Series organized by the Graduate and Professional Student Professional Development initiative (GPSPD). Visit tiny.utk.edu/dei-awareness to register for the series to get Canvas and Zoom access for the series.
