TOPICS
Farmers interested in submitting an application for the USDA Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG) program are invited to join UT Extension, AgLaunch, Tennessee Department of Agriculture specialists and others for a free online workshop. If you are interested in making a value-added product and want to apply for funding that could help toward planning or working capital, this workshop is for you. This workshop will help farmers understand what resources and technical assistance are available and what it takes to develop a strong VAPG application. Topics discussed will include an overview of the VAPG program, business planning resources and technical assistance available to value-added producers, lessons learned from a VAPG recipient, tips from a grant writer/business planner and steps to submit a strong package.
