About this Event
Leaders often state that they value diversity and inclusion in their organizations, but frequently, there is a disconnect between their rhetoric and actions. This has a significant impact on historically marginalized communities – especially individuals with a disability. Adults with a disability are America’s largest minority group, yet they are grossly underrepresented in the workforce and are twice as likely to be unemployed than those without a disability. In this session, we will discuss the importance of including persons with disabilities at all organizational levels, barriers to inclusion experienced by the disability community, and disability-inclusive leadership practices.
