Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Roundtable
The School of Music Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force presents a roundtable discussing the issues of race and power in music studies and higher education. The participants will be Danielle Brown (Ethnomusicologist, founder, and CEO of My People Tell Stories), Philip Ewell (associate professor of music theory, Hunter College of the City University of New York), and Joyce M. McCall (assistant professor of music education, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign). They will be sharing their research and insights into the topic and how their work is currently impacting academia.
The roundtable will take place through Zoom on Tuesday, February 23, 1:10pm - 2:25pm. This event is welcome to all.
