ENGINEERING: Winning Strategies for the DoD

The process of obtaining funding from the DoD and agencies other than NSF and NIH, may appear complex and daunting. However, billions of dollars of research and development funds are available. This presentation will take the DoD enterprise and break it down into a simplified and understandable format. Once this groundwork is established, the focus of the talk will shift to the development of winning strategies formulated from an insider’s perspective. These strategies will be categorized according to the type of funding (Program Elements: 6.1-6.4) spanning from basic to applied research. Finally, an outline of relevant agencies and opportunities will be presented along with useful informational resources. Engineering faculty only.
