First-Generation Student Social
The First-Generation Student Social is a designated safe space where everyone in this space shares the first-generation college student identity. The purpose of the social is to bring students, faculty, and staff together over a commonality. Participants will be encouraged to share and talk about their individual and collective lived experiences. Attendees will participate in virtual bonding and community building activities that aid in establishing connections, a sense of belonging, and pride. The socials are designed to be fun, engaging, and impactful. We encourage all first-generation students to choose one of the socials to attend.
