Offered monthly by the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County.  This month, the 3rd Saturday Class will be a field trip! Join us at East Lake Park from 9 to 11 am for a relaxing and informative saunter through a stunning native plant landscape. The class will explore the beauty and benefits of native plants while learning how to help manage stormwater, reduce urban heat islands, sequester carbon, and support wildlife diversity.

Haley Hamblen, Water Quality Specialist and RainSmart Program Manager for the City of Chattanooga, will lead the nature walk. During the walk, she will talk about Chattanooga's RainSmart Rewards Program, a residential native plant reimbursement initiative that helps homeowners incorporate native plants into their landscapes.
