G. Castellano, "A Dialogue in Metal: Silver, Bronze, and Cross-Cultural Currencies in Ancient Italy and Sicily"
Dr. Castellano will discuss a new approach to how we understand the emergence of coinage in Ancient Italy and Sicily in light of Greek and local cultural interaction.
Dr. Castellano is a post-doctoral researcher at the Univ. of Texas at Austin. He has an inaugural fellowship of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation’s Engaged Scholar Initiative at the University of Texas at Austin.
