The event is free and all students are invited to attend.
Several companies with ties to German-speaking countries will be represented at this event, and a representative from the Goethe Zentrum in Atlanta will give a presenation on “Deutsch in deiner Zukunft” (German in your Future) in which she will focus on
- What study abroad opportunities (outside UT) are available to students? (incl. info on funding opportunities)
- What are the advantages of studying German?
- What programs will help students intern or work in a German-speaking country?
- Which companies with ties to German-speaking countries are located in the Southeastern United States?
The event will also entail a panel discussion with various company represenatives, representatives from the UT Center for International Education, the UT Office for Career Development, and the UT Language and World Business Program. This panel discussion will then open up to a Q&A period where students can ask questions and join the discussion.

This is a unique opportunity for students to learn more about scholarship and study-abroad opportunities and to to hear from employers how their German language skills and their intercultural knowledge can enhance their career opportunities.
