Graduate and Professional Student Webinar Series: So You Want to Go on the Job Market: Strategies for Applying and Negotiating Your First Major Job
The Division of Diversity and Engagement is pleased to offer a three-part Graduate and Professional Student Webinar Series this semester. The goals of this series are to enhance resilience among graduate and professional students as they navigate their respective programs, provide a set of practices for demonstrating professionalism in various contexts, and develop skills as they apply for and negotiate job offers. Each session will take place virtually from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on February 11, March 11, and April 8. During this session, students will learn best practices for writing cover letters, navigating their first interviews, and negotiating salaries for their first job. It will focus on faculty and staff positions in academia as well as corporate, government, and nonprofit roles. This session will be in coincide with the Graduate School and the Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week.
