The Honey Creek Loop is an amazing trail to hike with beautiful scenery. The trail is hard but short, with plenty of time for breaks and exploring before and after lots of steep climbs (and even climbing up boulders).
After being on campus all week studying, enjoy going off campus and out of Knoxville to see new stuff and amazing places. As one past hiker said, “I didn’t realize that we had more than just the Smoky Mountains to explore!”
The Honey Creek Loop trail mixes caving with hiking, so be ready to hike over, around, and through big rocks! If you’ve never hiked like this before, no worries, the trip leader teaches everyone hiking and scrambling techniques.
This is the perfect length loop for a day of #amazinghiking. The loop is also a Tennessee State Natural Area, which means it a perfect spot to relax and experience the wild of Tennessee.
Such an adventure and you’ll want to do this hike again in a heartbeat!
If English isn’t your first language, our trip leaders know how to make sure you can join the conversations and have a great trip. By the end of the trip, you’ll be thinking, “I liked that we all bonded as a group.”
