6th Annual Hike the Hill in Heels

To walk in a mile in someone’s shoes is to spend time trying to understand someone else’s perspective. Since 2015, the UT community has Hiked the Hill in Heels to raise awareness about a serious issue – sexual assault. Men, women, and children are invited to walk a mile in women’s shoes to demonstrate their support for this important work and commitment to ending violence.

As we practice social distancing to prevent further transmission of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), please take steps to protect yourself and others by putting distance between yourself and other people and by staying home if you are sick.

If you are able, join us as we virtually hike together as a community. In order to participate in this year’s virtual event, we are asking that participants complete a 1 km or 0.6-mile walk. The walk can be completed at your own pace at any time on Wednesday, April 8.

Heels are optional.
