In collaboration with the Office of Online Learning and Academic Programs, Teaching and Learning innovation is excited to once again host the How To Teach Online Certification Seminar. This 5-module seminar is open to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. Participants of this seminar will learn the best practices associated with building an online course. Topics include:

• Fundamentals of Designing and Teaching Online Courses
• Universal Design And Accessibility In Online Education
• Engaging Students In Online Courses
• Technology in the Online Course

Using a blended course design approach, participants will have several opportunities to interact with fellow seminar attendees as they develop an online plan for teaching a unit in a course of their choice. Students will be required to attend all 5-modules of this seminar: March 8, 15, 22, 29, and April 5. Students who complete this seminar will receive CIRTL Practitioner level certification.
