In this interactive presentation led by Dr. Megan Haselschwerdt, attendees will dig deeper into the topic of consent, answering questions like: What is consent? What drives our conscious and unconscious consent decisions? Why do people consent to sexual activity we actually do not want? Why do people withhold consent to sexual activity we actually do want? We will answer these questions with particular attention to gender roles, sexual scripts, and intersectionality theory.
