International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.

A joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education, the University of Tennessee participates by offering cultural and educational programming throughout the week. 

This year, UT will focus on connecting its events with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) developed by the United Nations. These goals have been identified as key to sustainable development globally, and they address economic, social, and environmental issues.

As UT celebrates International Education Week, we encourage you to consider the opportunities and responsibilities we have as members of Tennessee’s flagship and land grant university to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. We can work together to engage with sustainable development opportunities in innovative and meaningful ways.
