Introduction to Ombuds Services for Graduate Students, Staff, & Faculty

No problem too small or too big - we are here to help!

"What is an Ombuds, anyway, and how can they help me?" In this quick overview, participants will learn not only what an ombuds is and does, but also how the Office of Ombuds Services helps to empower graduate students, staff, and faculty to navigate challenges, confusions, and conflicts (big and small) related to their experiences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Presentation will include scenarios of typical challenges we help resolve, the standards & ethics we follow (independence, confidentiality, impartiality, & informal, and how to access our consultation, mediation, and educational services. 

15 minutes are reserved for Q&A at the end of this session.
