The Italian Club is pleased to invite artist Jered Sprecher to discuss his time in Italy during June and July 2023 as a UT Affiliated Fellow at the American Academy in Rome. While at the academy, Sprecher spent time visiting historical examples of Roman paintings and sculptures that featured decorative motifs drawn from nature. During his fellowship, Sprecher began work on a new series of paintings fusing decorative images of flowers that are infused with the look and feel of digital technology.
