Kids U Summer Camp: Krav Maga (Grades 9-12, rising)
Krav Maga is a practical and realistic self-defense system that teaches its trainees how to prevent, deal with, and overcome all kinds of violence and attacks.
Throughout this camp you'll prepare in the subjects of self-defense and self-protection and learn the skills necessary to defend others, all through unique and comprehensive teaching methods.
Each day you'll train in a different area of self-defense techniques, including multiple attacker defenses and defenses against sticks, knives, and guns.
Krav Maga is easy to learn, retain, and perform naturally and intuitively and can be practically used under stressful situations. Realistic scenarios are always emphasized in training and are an important part of the curriculum.
This course does require physical interaction, but it can be scaled to all skill levels and abilities.
Note: Please wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle and towel to class. It's recommended that you bring boxing gloves.
Please note that Krav Maga is designed for students in rising grades 9-12.
Kids U summer camps at the University of Tennessee provide a wonderful opportunity for students in grades 3-12 (rising) to learn, have fun, and explore their interests in areas such as technology, art, photography, cooking, chemistry, anthropology, and much more.
