Knox Asian Festival (9th Annual)

Join this community event at World's Fair Park—sponsored by the UT Center for Global Engagement! The event will feature authentic traditional food vendors representing Asian cultures such as Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Korea, China, Japan, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Vietnam and Myanmar (Burma).

The Asian cultural parade starts at 10 a.m. at the fountain on the park lawn and ends at 10:30 a.m. at the amphitheater stage.

• Featured performance art including traditional Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Indian, Indonesian, Japanese and Philippine
• Passport program: kids and family can travel around the 13 Asian countries
• Martial arts demonstrations
• Thailand traditional dancers from Washington DC
• Japanese drummers Taiko Drum group from Disney World
• K-Pop and J-Pop performances
• Kimono Show
• Bonsai exhibition
• Cosplay contest
• Japanese tea ceremony
