#stochastic biology #antimicrobialresistanceThe University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine is pleased to host Dr. Johan Paulsson, Professor in the Department of Systems Biology at Harvard Medical School, for a special seminar.
Dr. Paulsson is an internationally recognized leader in stochastic biology and systems-level analysis of single-cell dynamics. His pioneering work combines mathematical modeling and experimental methods to understand how randomness at the molecular level influences cellular processes. His research has profound implications for areas such as antimicrobial resistance, cell cycle control, and synthetic biology.
Dr. Paulsson’s laboratory has developed innovative tools for real-time, high-throughput imaging and analysis of individual cells, enabling groundbreaking insights into how biological systems cope with noise and variability. He also serves as the lead Principal Investigator on the $104M ARPA-H grant “DARTS: Defeating Antibiotic Resistance through Transformative Solutions.”
Join us for this exciting opportunity to learn from one of the foremost experts in the field and explore potential collaborations that could transform research in our region.
