Lecture - Of Mongeese, Aedes, and Leper Colonies : Anthropology as Epidemic Intelligence
Dr. Emilio Dirlikov currently works as an Epidemiologist in CDC's Division for Global HIV and TB (DGHT) HIV Care and Treatment Branch (HCTB). He joined CDC in 2015 as the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) officer posted to the Puerto Rico Department of Health. Throughout the local Zika virus emergency public health response, he served as Team Lead for Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) and other neurologic conditions. He has also been deployed to Guinea for Ebola outbreak response, Burkina Faso for dengue responses, as well as Liberia and Mozambique to support measles supplemental immunization activities.
