LGBTQ HEALTH EQUITY IN APPALACHIA: AN INTERDISCIPLINARY SYMPOSIUM
Hosted by Dr. Jennifer Jabson, UTK Department of Public Health, and co-sponsored by the UTK Commission for LGBT People and Pride Center, this symposium will showcase the current state of LGBTQ health in Appalachia.
Featuring a keynote presentation from Dr. Henry Ng of The MetroHealth System, Cleveland, OH; a panel of local experts speaking to pressing social and political issues facing Southern LGBTQ people; and an interdisciplinary research symposium highlighting academic and community efforts to protect LGBTQ civil rights and promote health equity.
