Lifelong Learning Book Club Fall 2021 - Ungrading
The Lifelong Learning Book Club is a campus-wide book club for anyone interested in talking about learning and teaching in all careers and environments!
This semester we will be reading the book Ungrading: Why Rating Students Undermines Learning (and What to Do Instead.)
This book discusses the concept of “ungrading” and how it can encourage improved mastery and learning. You can read more about “ungrading” here.
Most of our discussions will focus on the "Foundations and Models" chapters (chp 1-5), but you don't have to read the book to attend!
You can access the e-book from the library here.
If you're interested in empowering students to be learners and challenging your own teaching and grading approach, come chat with us!
