Adam Betuel, Conservation Director for Birds Georgia.
In the past 50 years, North America has lost roughly 3 billion birds, more than 25% of our bird life. One of the top threats is bird-building collisions related to reflective facades, transparent windows, and bright lights at night.
Fortunately, great advances have been made in avian migration forecasting and understanding why birds struggle with aspects of our built environment. This seminar will explain the issues birds face in our constructed landscapes, how they are being addressed, and what the future holds for places where both birds and people can thrive.
