Immigration Updates and Compliance Considerations for Sponsorship of Employment-Based and Student Visas

 

Abstract

 

This brief presentation will provide an overview of immigration updates and regulatory changes that impact the sponsorship of H-1b, J-1 Exchange Visitor, TN, O-1, and F-1 student visas. In addition, this presentation will review the basic compliance concepts necessary for impacting these statuses. 

 

Biography

 

William Vittetoe, Director of International Student and Scholar Services, has worked in multiple areas of campus internationalization at the University of West Florida and the University of Alabama and serves as the incoming Regulatory Ombudsperson for Student Issues with NAFSA Region VII. His approach emphasizes a perspective that values campus partnerships, synergy of efforts, and the utilization of technical efficiencies in order to create the greatest level of personal access and support to students and scholars.
