Men of Color Empowerment Day
The Office of Multicultural Student Life will be hosting our Inaugural Men of Color Empowerment Day on Friday, November 13, 2020 via Zoom from 10:30a – 3:30p.
The Men of Color Empowerment Day aims to address the social and structural barriers that inhibit Men of Color from achieving economic success by promoting the self-awareness, unity, academic accomplishment, and economic empowerment needed to thrive in their educational careers and the global community. The one-day symposium will provide students with a greater sense of self by helping them contextualize their social, academic, historical, and political identities, and serve as a networking opportunity for attendees to learn from each other by participating in breakout sessions, engaging discussions, and presentations by speakers to prepare them for transformative leadership experiences on campus and beyond.
We look forward to engaging with our Men of Color including Asian, Black, Latino, Middle Eastern, Indigenous, and other Men of Color populations. This event is open for students and all faculty and staff members to attend!
Please feel free to reach out with any questions about the Men of Color Empowerment Day.
