DESCRIPTION:Join the Rainbow Collective (LGBTQ+ Social Work Org) and the Pr
 ide Center for a panel discussion about being an LGBTQ+-identifying social
  worker in the context of direct practice with clients\, working with comm
 unity partners\, and navigating workplace dynamics. The panel will specifi
 cally address self-disclosure and feature three professional social worker
 s who are part of the LGBTQ+ community.\n\nWelcoming the following panelis
 ts:\n\nCassie Whitfield\, LCSW\, CCTP (she/her): Cassie graduated with a M
 aster of Arts in Social Work from the University of Chicago\, School of So
 cial Service Administration\, with focus on clinical work. She is a certif
 ied clinical supervisor and currently the Director of Student Training at 
 a small non-profit mental health agency in the Chicago area. Cassie's curr
 ent practice is largely focused on trauma work with adult clients that ide
 ntify as BIPOC and/or part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Alex Jenny\, LCSW: A
 lex (she/her) is a therapist and drag queen known as The Drag Therapist. S
 he is a licensed clinical social worker and trauma and gender therapist. S
 he has extensive experience that spans over a decade in anti-oppression ed
 ucation\, intergroup facilitation\, mediation\, and diversity and inclusio
 n consultation. Her introduction to community organizing\, activism\, and 
 advocacy work began at the University of Michigan. She later received her 
 social work training at the University of Chicago School of Social Service
  Administration\, where she currently teaches class as an adjunct lecturer
  on anti-oppression facilitation and activism. Alexandra Hoffman\, LCSW (s
 he/her or they/them): Alex is a queer\, femme\, clinically licensed social
  worker who works within a partial hospitalization program focusing on you
 th who use substances to cope with their suicidal ideation\, depression\, 
 and anxiety. Utilizing a trauma informed harm-reductionist lens\, Alex wor
 ks to support these youth in navigating the trials and tribulations of cre
 ating a life worth living.Sean Bryant\, MSSW (he/they): Sean is a non-bina
 ry social worker and certified Acceptance and Integration Training (AAIT) 
 practitioner. He serves as a Field Education Specialist with the Universit
 y of Tennessee College of Social Work and is the founder of Silent Mountai
 n Healing Arts\, a private practice where he partners with courageous clie
 nts on their path to wholeness and healing. Sean has over 23 years of expe
 rience working with adults\, children\, and families in varied settings\, 
 from hospice care to therapeutic foster care\, including 12 years in commu
 nity change and school social work.\n\nThis event is being held at 7pm EDT
