NE Colloquium: Lisa Yamagata-Lynch

Title: "Introduction to the Office of Ombuds Services."

Can you say ombudsperson and make it sound like one word? Do you know what an ombudsperson is, or are you thinking ombuds-what? In this quick introduction, participants will learn about the Office of Ombuds Services and how they can take advantage of its services.

Lisa Yamagata-Lynch is the University Ombudsperson for the Office of Ombuds Services at UT and serves faculty, staff, and graduate students. As a faculty she holds the rank of Professor in the Educational Psychology and Counseling Department. Lisa received her doctoral degree from Indiana University in Educational Psychology as well as Instructional Systems Technology. She has experience in developing and growing revenue generating online programs. Lisa has served in several leadership roles as a program coordinator, director of graduate studies, as well as associate head. She is involved in diversity, engagement, and inclusion activities at UT through her leadership in the Commission for Women and as a contributing member in the Strategies and Tactics for Recruiting to Improve Diversity and Excellence (STRIDE).
