About this Event
Co-sponsored by the University of Tennessee's Division of Diversity and Engagement and Faculty Senate's Diversity and Inclusion Committee, this panel will involve an intersectional dialogue around navigating and negotiating invisible and emotional labor amid what the news media has referred to as the "twin pandemics," the COVID-19 pandemic and the chronic disease of structural racism and systemic injustice. The panel is designed to center the lived experiences of those whom research indicates bear the greatest burden of invisible and emotional labor on university campuses and to offer agency in developing solutions that recognize, revalue and reward invisible and emotional labor.
Confirmed panelist include [in alphabetical order]: Wendy Braun, Ashleigh Eldemire-Poindexter, Jessi Grieser, Anne Langendorfer, Shawn Spurgeon, and Erin Whiteside. With Joel Anderson and Amber Roessner co-moderating.
Please RSVP to Amber Roessner at aroessne@utk.edu. Zoom password available upon RSVP.
