On May 6 the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights issued new regulations mandating how the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and all other colleges and universities address cases under Title IX, a federal statute that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program and activity.

Since that time, the Office of Title IX has lead a team to accurately evaluate the requirements and partner with students, faculty, and staff to hear concerns, thoughts, and recommendations about the new federal regulations.

In this Town Hall, Ashley Blamey, Title IX coordinator will host a Town Hall to present the final policy and provide an opportunity for participants to engage in a question and answer session.
